Proposing amendments to the Constitution of the State of Alaska
relating to redistricting and reapportionment of the legislature;
repealing obsolete language setting out the apportionment schedule
used to elect members of the first state legislature.

HJR 44
There being no objection, it was so ordered.

Representative Porter moved that the House concur in the Senate
amendment to CSHJR 44(RLS) am, thus adopting SCS CSHJR
44(JUD), and recommended that the members vote yes.

The question being: "Shall the House concur in the Senate amendment
to CSHJR 44(RLS) am?" The roll was taken with the following result:

SCS CSHJR 44(JUD)
Concur

And so, lacking the necessary 27 votes, the House failed to concur in
the Senate amendment, thus failing to adopt SCS CSHJR 44(JUD).

Representative Mulder gave notice of reconsideration of his vote to
concur in the Senate amendment to CSHJR 44(RLS) am.
